Wavelynx Technologies is a leading company in the access control industry, specializing in designing and manufacturing cutting-edge electronics. We seek a highly skilled and motivated IT System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our computer and network infrastructure and supporting our production team in maintaining manufacturing software systems. 

As an IT Systems Administrator at Wavelynx, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems' smooth operation and availability. You will tackle technical issues, implement robust security measures, and provide top-notch technical support to our employees. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system administration, and IT leadership for special projects such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance. This position is a hands-on role. 

This is a Monday through Friday role, 100% onsite at our facilities in Broomfield, CO. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, virtualization platforms, and software applications.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
  • Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and license management. 
  • Collaborate with our production team to ensure the availability and operation of the Wavelynx manufacturing line. 
  • Assist various engineering teams in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis during manufacturing.
  • Perform routine and scheduled calibration and maintenance of all systems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and assist with IT-related inquiries and issues, including issues with peripheral devices. 
  • Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Install, maintain, and monitor the operation of the local and wide area network and recommend and implement LAN policies and standards.
  • Develop security procedures and protocols, develop user training, and monitor for issues.
  • Perform research, planning, and design for network configuration, including installation, pulling/running wire, installing equipment, and more. 
  • Research and solve complex network problems.
  • Manage, maintain, and modify all desktop/laptops, system server patches, and updates monthly.
  • Remain up to date on current technology trends and best practices.
  • Evaluate vendor products and recommend purchases to meet organization objectives.
  • Provide patching and updates for all systems and workstations.
  • Manage company phone system and maintain on-premise security system, including cameras and access control system.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology preferred, or associate degree in a computer-related field with equivalent industry certification(s) to supplement education preferred.
  • Experience with managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls) and workstation management, imaging, inventory control, remote monitoring, and management (RMM) systems are required. 
  • Two years of experience managing a Google Workspace (Google Suite) environment is preferred. 
  • Must have familiarity with networking principles, installing server applications and system performance tuning, and backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Must be familiar with and have experience repairing current hardware.
  • Proficiency with Linux system administration is preferred.
  • Experience working with Raspberry Pi and Arduino platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with basic scripting (bash, Python, etc.)  is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or software engineering environments is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish fluency preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and people skills are required. 
  • Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Able to lead by example with a great attitude.

  • The salary range for this position is offered at $80,000-$100,000 per year
